This is Mom’s Chinese Dumpling. Delicious and easy to make. This recipe uses premix flour, so it is very quick to make. Check out the recipe below:

Chinese Steamed Dumplings With Pork 饺子

12 oz. premixed wheat flour
4 cups boiling water
1/8 cup cooking oil

Put wheat flour into large mixing bowl. Gradually add boiling water to flour and mix in with chopsticks or a fork. Pat cooking oil into dough and knead well. Be careful because dough is still hot. Break dough into small pieces and roll each piece with a rolling pin until flat. You can also hand shape each piece of dough- start from the middle and work out to the edge.

8 oz. chopped or ground pork
2 tablespoons cooking oil
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup chopped water chestnut
1/2 green peas

Preheat a pan or wok at medium heat. Add cooking oil. Stir fry pork, onions and water chestnuts. You can substitute other ingredients, such as green onions, celery, Chinese cabbage or whatever you like. Put ingredients in a bowl and let cool. Thaw green peas and mix in with other ingredients.

For each dumpling, fold the dough until a pocket forms. Add 1 or 2 teaspoons of the filling. Seal the edge to make sure the filling doesn’t leak out.

Put the dumplings in a container or dish. In a pan, add water and bring to a boil. Put dumplings in the pan and cover. On medium heat, steam dumplings for 15 minutes. After removing, let dumplings cool for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
